a great visual definition of contemplation. I'm surprised the gallery let you take this, I always get stopped when I try to take photographs in art galleries (and I'm never trying to photograph the artwork either!)

Images in galleries are so evocative.

And galleries are so important because
they provide people with a safe environment
in which to encounter aspects of themselves
that are reflected in the art.

This image is a good example of the genre
because of the vertical verticals, which
lend substance to the gallery itself, and the
offset of the people on the bench, who
still stable and secure, are at once relaxed
and constrained within the gallery.
